Il Museo Porsche racconta ai visitatori in modo coinvolgente, chiaro e interessante l’intera storia di Dr. Ing. H.c. F Porsche AG. La produzione di automobili e soprattutto dei modelli disegnati specificatamente per le corse, hanno reso unico il nome Porsche. Numerose automobili e molte altre curiosità sono esposte nel Museo Porsche in un unico ambiente.

Troverete tutto questo e molto di più nel Museo Porsche, un luogo unico, dove vivere l’emozione delle auto e della storia Porsche.

Il progetto del Museo è stato scelto quello dell’archietto viennese Delgan Meissl, e dal 31 Gennaio 2009 è stato aperto al pubblico il nuovo museo Porsche. Ospita 80 vetture, alcune delle quali a rotazione viste le tante manifestazioni internazionali dedicati alle storiche che la casa tedesca non manca di esporre e far competere. Tra le vetture più importanti, oltre alla 1° Porsche costruita nel 1948, anche alcune rarissime versioni della 356, la McLaren TAG MP 4/2 con motore Porsche e gran parte delle auto di serie e da competizione che si sono succedute nella lunga storia della casa di Stoccarda. Non manca anche un classico Volkswagen, antesignano delle prime Porsche e progettato da Ferdinand Porsche.

Do you plan to visit the Porsche museum on your birthday? We invite you to our museum. If you present your ID-card at our ticket counter we will not charge you on your birthday.

Group Tours
Guided tours can be booked in advance for groups of up to 25 participants. We guide you in English and German. For an approx. 60-minutes guided tour we charge 60 Euro plus the admission fee. Groups of up to 10 participants have to pay the reduced admission fee of 6 Euro per capita.

Guided Tours for Children
Of course, also for our young visitors we offer special guided tours: Children up to an age of 7 until 13 years we explain our company history and exhibits very easy. Special tours for children can be booked for groups of up to 10 participants plus two assistants (registration required in advance). For an approx. 60-minutes guided tour we charge 60 Euro plus the admission fee. Children up to the age of 14 years get free admission.

Architectural Tours
Experience our museum from a different point of view. During a 60-minutes tour around our building we explain the architecture of Delugan Meissl Associated Architects. Afterwards we guide you through our exhibition. For an architectural tour for groups of up to 25 participants we charge 90 Euro plus admission fee. Children up to the age of 14 get free admission.

Students
Groups of up to 30 students get free admission when accompanied by a teacher. An advance reservation is required. Optionally we provide our educational material.

Audio Guides
Our electronic Audio Guide is free of charge. Visitors can use it to explore the exhibition in any sequence and at any pace they prefer. It contains sound tracks for motion pictures, information about individual vehicles, and topical information about Thematic Islands and individual arrangements. The guide is available in following languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. For children we have a special version available.

No Barriers
All areas of the museum are free of barriers and accessible via ramps or the elevator. Our staff will be happy to respond to special wishes or needs starting in December 2008. The Porsche Museum is committed to making its exhibition accessible to the broadest possible public, and to the fullest possible extent.

Parking
For our visitors we offer parking places in our parking garage. Only a few steps away we provide also a parking area for buses. Therefore please follow the signs.

Im Jahr 1934 legte Ferdinand Porsche auf Drängen Hitlers die tschechoslowakische Staatsangehörigkeit ab und nahm die deutsche an. 1938 wurde er zusammen mit Ernst Heinkel, Willy Messerschmitt und Fritz Todt mit dem 1937 von Hitler neu gestifteten Deutschen Nationalpreis für Kunst und Wissenschaft ausgezeichnet. 1938 erhielt er das Ehrenband der Burschenschaft Bruna Sudetia Wien. Auch er hatte den „Anschluss” Österreichs befürwortet. 1940 wurde Porsche zum Honorarprofessor an der Technischen Hochschule Stuttgart ernannt und 1942 zum Oberführer der Allgemeinen SS, was ihn nicht daran hinderte, bei allen Anlässen nur in Zivil gekleidet zu sein.

Porsche, 1939 zum Wehrwirtschaftsführer ernannt, engagierte sich stark in der Kriegsindustrie. Von 1941 bis 1943 wurde er zum Vorsitzenden der Panzerkommission - eine Spitzenposition in der Kriegswirtschaft - bestellt. Später wurde er in den Rüstungsrat berufen. Als Hitlers Lieblingsingenieur entwickelte er den nach ihm benannten Panzerjäger Ferdinand und den Panzerkampfwagen Maus. Der lediglich in Kleinserie produzierte Ferdinand war zu schwer für den von Porsche konzipierten petro-elektrischen Antrieb, dessen Störanfälligkeit dazu führte, dass mehr Exemplare aufgegeben als im Kampf zerstört wurden. Der Panzerkampfwagen Maus kam über das Stadium zweier Prototypen nicht hinaus.
